West Coast Wednesday: New Listenings While You Get Out & Vote

October ’26 Ed.

November 3rd is fast approaching, and the upcoming elections will determine state and local offices, including our next governor. This election season is no joke. Whether you vote is solely your choice. However, don't complain when things start to affect you that you could have, in fact, actively exercised your right to vote to change. Anywho, this month's West Coast Wednesday features new singles and albums you can play on your way to the voting booth and coming tours to treat yourself to afterward.

Singles

•  Goapele - Way You Love Me

• Ackrite- So Real Ft. Yg & Mozzy

•  Eastside KBoy- Rydah

Goapele released a new single titled 'Way You Love Me,' and I must say I am really into it, similarly to the way I love 'Closer'. Artist Ackrite dropped 'So Real' featuring YG, and Mozzy is perfect to hit all the LA dance moves. I'll definitely add it to my West Coast playlist.

Albums

• KXNG Crooked-West Coast ’96

•  Ovrkast-Striking

•  Ras Kass- Soul On Ice

To be transparent, KXNG Crooked, Ovrkast, and Rass Kass are fairly new to me. I'll be sifting through their catalog and discovering what their sound is like. If you are familiar with any of these artists, tell me which songs I should start with. I'll certainly be listening to their albums and encourage y'all to check them out also.

Tours/Concerts

• Doja Cat “Tour Ma Vie World Tour” Next stop is October 31st in Las Vegas

•   E-40 & Too Short “The Earl & Todd Show” November 13 at the YouTube Theater

•  Yg “The Gentlemen’s Club” October 28th at the Crypto Arena

• The Game  “Welcome To The West” November 28th in Ontario

The artists in the West are on the road all fall and winter season. Doja is still doing her thing on her world tour. YG will be serenading fans tonight at the Crypto Arena, and E-40 has a show coming up on Friday, November 13, with special guests Tee-Fli, Joe Moses, and Kid Ink.

Tell me which West Coast artists I should listen to next. If you're an artist, drop a 💙 and let me know what you have coming next. As always, Happy Listening .🎧🎶
