First off, 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 well done to the team and production behind the release of Nipsey Hussle's collaborative studio album with Bino Rideaux. "Prolific" is a great follow-up album to Victory Lap. Tracks such as 'Reckless' featuring Static Major, 'Sacrifices' featuring James Fauntleroy, and '500 Horses' preserve much of Nipsey's rap style and aura. James Fauntleroy was a great choice for the vocals on 'Sacrifices'; I had the pleasure of hearing him live, and his voice flows effortlessly like water. 'Miami Off The Plane' and 'Mean It' featuring Ty Dolla $ign are tracks that are a bit unconventional and step outside the realm of gangsta rap. However, if you are familiar with Hussle's mixtapes, you know unconventional was never unfamiliar to him, as he could freestyle easily on a Sade or MGMT sample.
'Prolific' adheres to the Hussle standard, and I believe he would be truly honored by the work and effort made to proliferate his art and legacy.

Terrace Martin-Dinner Party
Compton AV dropped "Summer '26," featuring some of my favorite dance tracks like "YAYA." I like the OG, the remix, and the RE-mix to the remix. lol 'Letter 2 Nip' is a fly track paying homage to the late Nip Hussle. Terrace Martin is serenading us once more with the sounds of his Sax through his new project "Dinner Party," an infusion of live music, spoken word, and vocals emeshed depicting the scene of the dinner party. If you enjoy sonically illustrated storytelling, you may be able to envision the setting, guests, and familiar, common encounters that only we'd understand when "we get together." "Dinner Party" is a multifaceted piece.

Sir-Back To Friends
This past Saturday, I enjoyed a night out listening, dancing, and observing live performances by RJ Mr LA, who put on a good show, by the way. I like it when artists feel and perform to their music and don't fill the stage with too many people at once. RJ's show had guest performances by Chef Boy, The Game, Joe Moses, and Kalan.FrFr, Steven G, and many more. It was a great show, with a crossover of a live band and a DJ that kept the crowd going. It was a fun LA summer night!
