West Coast Wednesday: West Coast Hip Hop Setting the Tone For A Coastal Summer

Summer is set here on the West Coast, as we enjoy the palm trees and summer breeze, some of Cali's popular local & regional music artists are turning up the heat. The Versus between The Game & YG had all the LA/Cali Natives hyped as both artists battled using their hottest hits! The energy was elevated and it appears a time was had. I was happy to hear some hits I hadn't heard in a minute, brought back good college memories.

Kurupt announced he''ll be dropping his newest release on this Frdiay 7/31. The album is called Mystic River and will be his 7th solo studio album. So all the old school West Coast Hip Hop music lovers get y'all headphones ready. Willow released her album last Friday, "The Thread" and while I am still browsing through new releases I am realy feeling her song 'Shrink To Fantasy'. She's a true talent and utilizes nepotism so well.

Also shout out to Larry June for a big first week on the music charts for "Who Coppin". It is reported to be the biggest of his career thus far. Good job Larry!
