R&B girlies and guys are taking the cake for March Madness! They've been dominating the playlists and are on constant repeat. These R&B faves and newcomers have released a variety of jams, some of which teeter between alternative, neo-soul, and pop. Nonetheless, browse the selection, you know what to press (play).
Ebony Riley is an artist I recently became privy to. Her single 'Honest' is a song about the vulnerability of keepin' it real, even if it could potentially scare your lover away. I like this message because, from observation, it seems many people desire true love but are afraid to put themselves out there and play it safe to avoid disappointment. Baby Rose is another newbie to me. Although she's been featured on songs with artists such as Ari Lennox, Leon Thomas, and Vince Staples. Many compare her unique sound to the likes of Nina Simone. I've been enjoying her single 'Friends Again', which has a classic, modern, jazzy R&B vibe. Her musical tone is very refined and original in these times. Momo Boyd graced the airwaves with two soft rock singles, 'Strong' and 'She's A Sweetheart.' Momo's musical tone is soft, sweetheart, classic Black American beauty, rockstar, all in one.

Flagboy Giz's 'We Outside' is a New Orleans Mardi Gras Indians culture and historical lecture mixed with New Orleans bounce music on wax. The catchy and upbeat melody had me ready to secondline in traffic. This was played over 100 times when I first heard it. Artists Juvenile and Megan Thee Stallion made it to number 67 on the music charts with 'B.B.B,' a remake of the original release. Their collaboration was complementary to their cadence, and another one on repeat. Kanye released his 12th studio Album "Bully" this past Friday. Some of the album's singles include features by Cee Lo Green, Don Toliver, Andre' Troutman, and visual cameos with his children.
